Climbing trees, swimming, singing, reading Judy Blume and C.S. Lewis.

My grandma, the Obamas, the Indigo Girls.
When you were little, what did you want to be when you grew up?
A paleontologist when I was 5 or 6. Later, anything except a teacher or a nurse, which seemed like cop-outs for a girl since all the women I knew who worked outside the home were either teachers or nurses.
If you could pick a superpower, what would it be and why?
I'd love to be able to speak and understand any language. It's so important that we all understand each other!
